A WordPress Meetup is a gathering of WordPress enthusiasts, developers, bloggers, and users who come together to share their knowledge, experiences, and learn from each other. These events are typically organized by local communities and provide a platform for attendees to network, collaborate, and stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in the WordPress ecosystem. Participants can expect to engage in discussions, attend workshops, and learn from industry experts on a wide range of topics, including website design, content management, plugin development, and WordPress best practices.
Whether you are a seasoned WordPress user or just starting out, a WordPress Meetup is an excellent opportunity to connect with like-minded individuals, expand your knowledge, and be a part of a vibrant and supportive community.
In each event, there will be a total of about 45 minutes of talks. Each talk will last 5, 15, 30, or in fewer cases 45 minutes. So in each event, we can expect multiple topics from multiple speakers in most cases. For 5-minute talks (Lightning Talks), speakers may talk about their own WordPress website and sharing their experience with the audience.
Following the talks, there is a 15-minute slot for the audience to answer WordPress-relevant questions. Everybody can ask questions and everybody (i.e., not just the organizers) can answer the questions.
Afterwards, there is an optional dinner in a Hong Kong style restaurant nearby for our audience to have further discussions and mingle with each other.
If you have an interesting WordPress-related topic that you want to share with one another, please apply to be a speaker!
